Do you get excited planning, producing and publishing content in different formats that helps audiences understand complicated topics in simple ways? Are you driven by spotting SEO opportunities and helping to share your subject-matter expertise?
If you’re nodding your head, then we want you! We’re after a highly motivated Content Creator to join our dynamic team. In the fast and ever-moving higher education sector, you’ll work on creating and optimising key multi-media resources that develop informed and engaged audiences across our websites and other channels.
We’re the postgraduate experts so it’s our job to support potential students with their Masters and PhD choices, and universities around the world with their postgraduate recruitment goals. With your strong writing, communication and content SEO skills, you’ll do everything it takes to make sure our audience of over 13 million a year are informed on key topics during their student journey and smash our SERP positions as we’re always aiming for that top spot!
Whether you’re working on an article, blog, video, podcast or infographic, no two days will be the same. One day you could be creating an in-depth guide around online learning for our global audience, the next you could be recording a promo video to support a marketing campaign around January start dates with supporting animation and graphics!
Responsibilities:
- Use a combination of copywriting, editing and design skills to research, create and publish high-quality multi-media resources across FindAMasters and FindAPhD that provide high value to our target audience and consistently meet our team KPIs.
- Employ effective keyword research and on-page SEO techniques to support the ideation, creation and improvement of our website content resources.
- Contribute to copywriting, assembly and development of our weekly student newsletters.
- Develop a working knowledge of SEO best practice and of relevant higher education policy and other developments relating to postgraduate education.
- Contribute to the wider identification, realisation and evaluation of content opportunities in multiple formats (written, visual, audio) and to the expansion and management of a portfolio of resources that develops alongside the needs of our audience.
- Represent the Content Team in internal information sharing and development activities as required.
- Support student-facing advice stands at our B2C events, with occasional out of hours travel and overnight stays as required.

We’re after a confident and creative writer and creator who takes pride in the quality of their work and the value it creates for audiences. You’ll be inspired by the opportunity to develop and deploy your expertise to prospective postgraduate students and be interested in putting your contentSEO knowledge into creating genuinely useful and usable resources for our audience.
Essential
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification / work experience).
- Good copywriting, proof-reading and editorial skills.
- Working knowledge of SEO principles and current best practice for website content.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to contribute to multiple simultaneous content projects across a large and diverse team.
Desirable
- Experience working in a relevant role (content writing, digital publishing, web journalism, or similar).
- Experience creating content in various formats (articles, blogs, video, social, infographics etc).
- Experience with web publishing techniques, including HTML mark-up and use of a CMS system.
- Familiarity with basic graphic design and/or video editing processes and tools relevant to content creation for web and social media.
- Experience analysing the performance of web content using Google Analytics, Google Search Console and similar platforms (including commercial SEO software).
- An understanding of higher education, especially postgraduate study, through previous study or work experience.
